The other side of Programmers

Yesterday I met an HR Manager from a reputed IT company. During the interaction with him, I came to understand the other side of Computer Programmers.
The average attrition rate in IT and ITES is whopping 70% and 63% percent respectively. Among these, the hit ratio of quality is mere 5%. Companies spend a lot in training these programmers.
But after a period of 2 to 3 months they are putting down their papers for the mere reason for getting a salary hike from a competitor company.
The most shocking fact is that nearly 95% of the switchers does not have basic knowledge about programming. All that they do regularly is that they download some free code available, imbibe with the current module and tell that they developed the entire project.
In their CV, these guys this and that and they cannot be able to explain what the functionalites of the project and their role in the project.
A MCA Graduate with 2 years of experience has been asked to explain OOPS concept. He blinked and cross questioned the HR Manager "What is that?". The HR manager astonished.
Whooping Salary and good designation must be part of growth for the loyalists not for the switchers.
