Sunday being a holiday everyone rejoices. Last Sunday, I totally had a bad experience. Power went off early in the morning sometime around 6 AM. Due to the absence of power, there was no water for emergency purpose during the dawn of the day.
I got fed up and went to EB office FOC Cell. The attender was too lethargic and gave me uninterested answers. The devil in me woked up and I said to the attender " If you don't restore power within 2 hours, I have to complain to the AnnaNagar MLA". The guy questioned at me "Sir, we are at Perambur, why should you go to AnnaNagar MLA instead of going to Perambur MLA?"
I replied "You guys don't know who the Electricity minister is? Anna Nagar MLA is the Electricity Minister. You People work in a department without knowing who the minister is?"
He got panicked. He called the JE, and the JE assured that the power will be restored within an hour's time. I left EB office and while reaching home, I found that power has been restored already.
What I learnt from this incident is that even though if u don't know people directly in the Government, Atleast staying updated about the latest happenings in the surroundings will help you always.
